Stourgate Town Announce New Manager

New first-team manager Stourgate Town have confirmed the appointment of a new first-team manager, ending weeks of speculation. Ray Hutchings joins us from fellow Kent Large Moulded Fittings Division 2 side Blackhampton Terriers. Ray has managed for over ten years skilfully guiding teams between divisions in eight of those ten years. He hopes to repeat the promotion he gained with Blackhampton Wanderers in 2022.

‘Course I know Stourgate and the Warren well. I even got relegated there on the last day of the 2017, 2018 and 2021 seasons. So I suppose I am due some good luck! I am excited to get to work and that is not just with the football club but also outreach to the community’.

Stourgate Town player profile: Ray Barnes

Town’s longest serving player When Ray Barnes first played for Town the Queen was still the Queen and not dead and Morecambe and Wise were the number one TV show. He is Town’s longest serving and - some would say - most average player. We spoke to Ray at a recent trining session at The Warren.

Ray signed as a schoolboy even though he had dropped out of school to be a drugs runner like in Top Boy. He soon realised he couldn’t keep playing football and sell drugs for a living so he stopped playing for a year. But his life was changed by Town’s manager at the time, Christian do-gooder Benny Hills. Ray playing a bunch of pansies.

Dunton Town Announce New Manager

New first-team manager Dunton Town have named Wayne Coulson as their new manager, filling the vacancy left by Colin Pratt’s move to Blackhampton Wanderers earlier today.

Coulson departs Stourgate Town after two seasons in charge, having left the club just before the appointment of Ray Hutchings was announced. He becomes the third manager to change clubs within the Kent Large Moulded Fittings Division 2 in a single afternoon.

‘It’s a good move for me,’ Coulson said. ‘Dunton have real ambition. I wish Ray all the best at Stourgate, and Colin all the best at Blackhampton, and I suppose whoever ends up at Stourgate next all the best as well, whenever that turns out to be.’

Blackhampton Wanderers Announce New Manager

New first-team manager Blackhampton Wanderers have appointed Colin Pratt as their new manager, just hours after Ray Hutchings left the club to take charge at Stourgate Town.

Pratt arrives from Dunton Town, where he spent four seasons, and takes over a Blackhampton side still adjusting to life after Hutchings.

‘I know Colin well from the Kent Large Moulded Fittings set-up,’ said Blackhampton chairman Derek Small. ‘He did a solid job at Dunton and we’re confident he can build on what Ray started here, even if Ray only started it about six hours before he left.’
