Possible Alien Craft Reported Near Proposed Bypass Site
UFO crash
Residents near the site of the long-proposed bypass have reported an unidentified object in a field off the ring road on Wednesday evening, though the council says it has no record of any incident. Several neighbours on the Fenwick Road estate said they heard a low humming noise shortly before 9pm, followed by what one described as a bright flash over the field. East Kent Police confirmed they attended the scene but found nothing to report and have not opened an investigation.
Bypass
The bypass has been mired in controversy after councillor Barry Gainskill’s plans to link the bypass to the A41. Labour demanded Gainskill’s resignation after his proposal meant the cost of the road would increase from £14 million to £10 billion. The scheme has now been on the council’s agenda for twenty years without a single sod being turned, and residents living near the proposed route say they have largely stopped expecting it to happen. A further council vote on the matter is scheduled for next month.
UFOs are surprisingly common
The possible alien spaceship crash would only add to this estimate, according to Neil Gately, Stourgate’s pre-eminent UFO historian who is the Bugle’s assistant Stourgate UFO editor. Mr Gately said that UFOs are surprisingly common in East Kent, and pointed to at least six other reported sightings in the area over the past decade, none of which were ever satisfactorily explained. He has asked anyone with photographs or video of Wednesday’s incident to come forward, and said he plans to log the sighting with the wider UK UFO research community. ‘I expect it is an alien who has travelled here from Alpha Centauri. Usually such aliens have ray guns so should be approached with caution.’
ET phone home
Barry Fenn, who was first on the scene, described a “definite dent” in the grass and “a smell like burnt toast,” and he thought he might have glimpsed an alien that looked a bit like ET. Mr Fenn said he had been walking his dog along the field boundary when he noticed the disturbance and did not approach any closer. He has since given a statement to Mr Gately for his records. He also spoke with East Kent Police, giving them a drawing of the alien he glimpsed.
Alien bursting through chest
A council spokesperson said the matter “falls outside the scope of the current bypass review”. The spokesperson added that any decision on how to proceed, including whether the site should be inspected further, would rest with the relevant landowner rather than the council. No further comment has been issued on the reported sighting itself.
